Alchemy Factory Recipes: Categories & Devices

Quick answer

Every Alchemy Factory recipe follows the same shape: Inputs (resources required), Device (the machine that processes them), and Outputs (the product). Recipes are grouped into five categories — Fuel, Solid, Component, Liquid & Potion, and Misc & Special — built on core devices like the Table Saw, Stone Crusher, and Kiln.

How recipes work

A recipe is not an isolated item; it is a relationship between an input, a device, and an output. Understanding that relationship is what lets you plan efficient production chains instead of placing machines at random.

Recipes explain how raw materials, components, and special items are transformed through different machines and devices. They are the foundation of production: stable lines, less waste, and a clear path to automation and scaling all start with reading the recipe.

The five recipe categories

Fuel recipes convert raw materials into burnable or energy-related items used to power machines. Fuel is needed early and stays important throughout the game.

Solid recipes transform raw materials into processed solids such as planks, bricks, ingots, and construction components. These form the backbone of most early and mid-game chains.

Component recipes produce intermediate items that are not used directly but are required by many other recipes. Efficient component production is the key to automation.

Liquid & Potion recipes combine liquids, herbs, and special materials into potions and magical outputs. These often involve more complex inputs and devices.

Misc & Special recipes cover unique, magical, or specialised transformations that do not fit the other categories.

The core devices

Three devices anchor early production. The Table Saw cuts wood into planks. The Stone Crusher processes ores and stone materials — and, notably, turns coal ore into the coal used for coke powder. The Kiln fires clay into bricks or glass, which is the gateway to higher-tier builds like the blender and vitality potion.

These three alone cover a large share of the Solid and Fuel categories. As you unlock more machines, the same Inputs–Device–Outputs logic extends to crucibles, cauldrons, smelters, alembics, athanors, and thermal extractors.

Recipes in the bigger picture

Recipes connect directly to the other wiki sections. Guides explain how and when to use a recipe during progression. Items describe what each input and output actually does. Wiki explains the systems and mechanics behind production. Together they form a complete crafting reference.

Planning your first chain

Start by picking the output you need, then trace its recipe backward to the device and inputs. Match the device to a furnace or power source if it draws heat, and make sure the input belt can keep up. A chain is only as stable as its slowest recipe.

What is still unconfirmed

The complete per-recipe input and output tables for every category, and the exact P or time values for devices beyond the documented examples, are 待确认 and will be filled in as the wiki verifies them from official patch notes and in-game tooltips.
